So I went to Seattle on American and decided to change my departure from Friday to Saturday evening. I was visiting my daughter after doing some business and she had the day off on Saturday. Megan is in her second year of residency at UW Med Center and she doesn't get much time off. I called American on Thursday evening to change my reservations – I called the premier desk and the fellow immediately told me that he could get me to Chicago for an additional $500 and then I would have to purchase a first class ticket to get home from there. We tried several different schedules with the same general result. I said that that was unsatisfactory.
The next morning I called Atlas and talked to Cheryl. She found a flight from Seattle to SFO with the red eye connection to Boston. She called Alaska to get permission to change the ticket and the total cost was $45 for a BETTER SCHEDULE.
If that isn't a good reason to use a travel agent, I don't know what is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
