New Service Does the Packing for You
For harried business travelers, time-savers are a top priority. And now, thanks to Flylite, road warriors don't have to spend time packing, don't have to schlep luggage – and can even skip trips to the dry cleaners.
Billing itself as a remote wardrobe manager, Flylite is a new company that packs, delivers, picks up and even dry cleans your clothes. Here's how it works: You sign up online, and Flylite sends you a suitcase to fill with your usual travel gear. You send it back, and they clean, store and catalog everything in a "virtual closet." Then, before your next trip, you go online and "pack" your virtual suitcase, set your destination and enter your arrival date and time. Your fully packed suitcase will be waiting for you when you check in to the hotel.
The downside: So far, Flylite is available only in the U.S. And convenience is never cheap – the service costs $100 to $200 per trip.
