Travel GPA Now Benchmarks Environmental Impact of Your Travel
You may be seeing the word “green” everywhere you turn and wondering if it's just hype or here to stay. If it's any indication, Atlas Travel International is receiving increasing numbers of inquiries about green travel initiatives and is working to answer customer questions and offer tools for companies focusing on this new business priority.
As reported in a recent Communiqué, Atlas Travel International has partnered with Native Energy, an innovative environmental firm, to offer a method of offsetting the carbon impact of business travel. Individual travelers and entire companies have begun to use our Native Energy carbon calculator to purchase carbon offsets, the proceeds of which are then used to fund construction of environmentally responsible initiatives such as wind turbines, solar arrays and methane projects. At the same time, Atlas has been promoting its launch of Travel GPA, the newest and most comprehensive benchmarking tool in the travel industry. Since our introduction of the system in December, its dynamic capability has been expanded to benchmark the environmental impact of your business travel. Through a newly instituted feature, Travel GPA can now instantly inform you of how the environmental impact of your travel program measures up against other companies like yours.
