Atlas Travel International Makes BTN's Annual List of Top Agencies in the U.S.
During the week of June 25th, Business Travel News (BTN) published its list of top travel agencies, based on 2006 ARC transactions. Atlas Travel International ranked #27 in the prestigious list that was topped by Carlson Wagonlit/Navigant, Omega World Travel, and Travel and Transport. The article cited that, "Forty-two travel management companies participated, including seven that released ARC data for the first time. Of those seven, the largest were Andavo Travel and Atlas Travel."
It continued, "Atlas Travel International of Milford, Mass., processed 92,300 ARC transactions, a 51 percent increase from 2005. The company customizes and develops in-house proprietary technology, and has an ownership stake with The Travel Authority and Murdock Travel in Swiftrip. Atlas booked 27 percent of its transactions online, up 10 percentage points from 2005. COO Mark Miller said Atlas added 78 corporate accounts in 2006, and at the end of 2005 picked up two large accounts."
