American Airlines Offers Customers Award Flights For Fewer AAdvantage Miles

FORT WORTH, Texas – American Airlines is once again offering AAdvantage® members the chance to book economy-class, Short-Hop flights for fewer miles. For a limited time, customers can book round-trip MileSAAver
awards on routes under 750 miles each way for only 15,000 AAdvantage miles (a 10,000 mile savings). The routes must be within the continental United States and Canada.
These special Short-Hop awards are available for travel from Sept. 1, 2007, through Feb. 29, 2008, on nonstop flights operated by American Airlines, American Eagle or AmericanConnection® carriers. Visit www.aa.com/shorthops for more details.

Sample Short Hop markets include popular city pairs like Dallas/Fort Worth-Denver, Chicago-Atlanta, Chicago- New York, Miami-New Orleans, Los Angeles-San Francisco and Boston-Raleigh/Durham.
The AAdvantage Program was the first and is the world's largest frequent flyer program. Established in 1981, the program now has more than 56 million members. Members can earn miles at more than 1,000 participating companies, which include more than 35 hotel chains representing more than 75 brands, more than 20 airlines, eight car-rental companies, 18 financial companies, and over 200 brand name retailers. In addition, members can earn miles when making purchases with one of more than 97 affinity card products in over 41 countries. Award inventory is subject to seat availability and capacity controls. Seats for award travel may not be available on all flights. The short-hop award is valid for round-trip travel only on non-stop flights less than 750 air miles one way, which are marketed and operated by American Airlines, American Eagle or AmericanConnection carriers in the continental U.S. and Canada. Determination of the 750 air miles restriction will be made by American Airlines. Open jaws are not allowed for this award. Travel on short-hop awards must be completed by February 29, 2008.
