Book a Vacation at Atlas and You Can Support Milford Regional Medical Center
Several months back, Milford Regional Medical Center employee Rachel Tebeau picked up a travel flyer in the medical center's lobby touting a unique donation program. Tebeau thought the program would be perfect for her Girl Scout Troop, who were planning a celebration trip to Hershey Park in Pennsylvania and a tour through Pennsylvania Dutch Country as the culmination of their tenure as Junior Girl Scouts. The promotion, started by Atlas Travel International, allows supporters of Milford Regional Medical Center to book a vacation package or cruise and the travel agency will donate 5 percent of the price back to the medical center to support expansion and programs at the local health care institution.
Last week, Tebeau, along with her co-leader Tia Marie Lamothe and several of their Girl Scouts, presented their Atlas donation check for $400 to Tim Martin, Milford Regional's director of development.
"We are so pleased to have launched this program," said Elaine Osgood, president and CEO of Atlas Travel International. "This story has been a win-win-win for everyone involved. The Girl Scouts are all about leadership, volunteerism, community and fundraising. The Milford Regional program caught the eye of Rachel and we were pleased to create the trip they were looking for and give back to Milford Regional as part of the package."
The Girl Scout trip was planned and coordinated by Atlas Vacation Agent Sally Hathaway in the agency's Milford office.
