Delta to refund baggage fee to some customers

Delta will offer a rebate of its new $25 fee for checking a second bag to customers who purchased tickets from Delta prior to April 9 and traveled on or after May 5.
 
Customers requesting a rebate must complete a form at http://www.delta.com/traveling_checkin/baggage/baggage_allowance/second_bag_fee/index.jsp

Rebates are limited to $25 per passenger, per flight.

Under Delta's contract of carriage, the baggage rules in effect on the date a passenger's travel begins are the rules that apply to that passenger's transportation. But Delta said it has made a one-time exception “in response to customer feedback and as a matter of goodwill” by offering rebates to passengers who bought tickets prior to the second-bag fee announcement.
