American Airline's Terminal B is looking good

American Airlines is enhancing the travel experience from Terminal B at Logan Airport on the ground and in the air, completing construction over the past two years.

The biggest change is well on the way to being completed with the opening of the new food court and the restaurant area.

Entering the terminal, AA has revamped the First Class check-in area, literally with a red carpet, better signing and personnel to assist passengers. People holding First Class tickets and Business Class international seats will be able to use the expanded Admiral's Club beyond security. The Admiral's Club will complete a $4 million expansion by next summer.

The importance that the airline puts into its operations from Boston can be seen by the number of additional flights and aircraft now available for its winter schedule for both domestic and international service.

Starting on December 14 and running through April, American will add a sixth non-stop flight to Miami. It will also add seasonal service to the Turks & Caicos. For the winter months, the carrier will also increase the number of seats available on their famous "red eye" overnight flight from Los Angeles to Logan Airport.

The evening flight will leave LAX at 9:55 p.m. local time and arrive in Boston at 6:15 a.m. EST. The plane will be a Boeing 767 in place of the 757. It will be able to carry a total of 225 passengers versus 188 people previously. The number of First Class seats has increased from 22 to 30.
