The Japan Immigration Bureau and Ministry of Justice has announced changes to the entry requirements of visitors. These changes will go into effect for foreign nationals arriving in Japan beginning Nov 23, 2007. Beginning on that day, travelers who are not Japanese or holding a Japanese passport will be asked to provide their finger prints. They may also be asked to be photographed. Anyone under the age of 16 will not be required to provide a finger print or photograph. To see the details and exemptions please view the video on the web site below.
