The FAA has accepted a plan from the two airlines for interim operations and a transition to a single operating certificate.

The plan outlines the methodology, processes, tools and timing to maintain the safety of the day-to-day operations and to achieve a single operating certificate over the next 15 to 18 months.

BA Suspends Flights to Pakistan

Bev Fearis, Travel Mole, 9/23/2008

British Airways has suspended "indefinitely" flights to and from Pakistan after a suicide bomb attack on a hotel in the country's capital, Islamabad.

Saturday's bombing at the city's Marriott Hotel killed 53 people and injured 266, including six British nationals, one a child.

BA, which flies six times a week to Pakistan, said it had suspended services "in light of the current security situation" and was now in discussion with other operators about how to provide alternative travel options to and from Islamabad.
